No easy task for any social media company, but if you're genuine, consistent, and honest there is a lot to gain from social media. But be careful, it can turn it's back on you quickly.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1446373754980807789.post-76065410508781945312011-07-15T05:14:28.250-07:002011-07-15T05:14:28.250-07:00Social media is a wonderful tool that can be used ...Social media is a wonderful tool that can be used to enhance your selling. It can highly influence people to go one way or the next. You don't want to scream at people, interrupt them, spam them and stuff like that. Again that doesn't mean brands should stay away; rather get involved, do some careful testing, and start to build up a bank of knowledge which will be invaluable as Social Media changes. I can tell you that's exactly what the big ad spenders are currently doing and it needn't cost big money to join the party.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12160926279265993926noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1446373754980807789.post-78641625483137010662009-11-11T10:35:35.251-08:002009-11-11T10:35:35.251-08:00Fantastic post Mike - extremely thorough and hits ...Fantastic post Mike - extremely thorough and hits so many nails bang on the head. One or two detail focussed in-house staff can normally just add monitoring to their daily routine. If you've got a big/ high interest brand which features in lots of conversations and you need to monitor a range of social media platforms, the volume of data can quickly become overwhelming; you could drown in tweets and posts and easily miss important stuff.

That's where tools like Brandwatch come in; they can cut and slice the data any way you want,to give busy people ACTIONABLE information. I guess it depends on your business and the volume of mentions, plus how closely you want/need to 'listen' to the buzz.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12160926279265993926noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1446373754980807789.post-59357828542309196202009-11-10T11:20:34.390-08:002009-11-10T11:20:34.390-08:00Great post Mike; useful overview of a field where ...Great post Mike; useful overview of a field where there is a load of b*ll*cks talked by various people at the moment.
