I am not on Google+ yet, I prefer waiting a bit more before I get submerged by another social network. I reckon Google is trying to defeat Facebook in many ways; what I don't know is if the right way to win, is by filling the gaps Facebook didn't cover before. It will be more interesting to find another way of communication, another way of connect.
Facebook showed us an innovative one, I would like to see a completely different one, that will be a real contender.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1446373754980807789.post-17091921291586401882011-07-23T06:18:25.393-07:002011-07-23T06:18:25.393-07:00What interests me the most is the fact that Google...What interests me the most is the fact that Google already owns 25% of web browsers with Google Chrome and the majority of online searches. This is obviously already integrated with your Goole Plus account.

Event if you're using a different browser but signed in to your Google + you will still receive notification while searching on Google or using other Google services.

Facebook has tried integrating search with Bing using the "Web Results" feature on search but its clucky and ugly. Who uses Bing anyway? I'm sure Facebook is trying hard to come out with an improved search feature to catch up to Google + just like it did with the video chat feature with Skype. Will be interesting to see how it develops.Alex Lundhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05012387759765222005noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1446373754980807789.post-21583637539190409712011-07-22T02:10:45.118-07:002011-07-22T02:10:45.118-07:00See, I'm waiting on Google+ until after it get...See, I'm waiting on Google+ until after it gets non-marketing types. Google + is so simple, that I now fear for facebook greatness and omnipotent fame.

Google is positioned as a solution based interaction network, where any human activity is to find a helpful digital tool across google's creations..

I personally believe facebook does not stand a chance at the moment as a social network if it's ought a be measured against the Google's strategic objective of delivering the answer to any task or question it may be. Surely the facebook nation is alive and kicking, but is now only a 'social network'. And to upgrade that state will require a not so posible task. So the frontier has been determined. And the Google ground for Invasion is prepared.

Sit back and enjoy social networking with the awakening of group video calls, and upgraded awareness of digital over us.mistermoihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03821596655019670565noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1446373754980807789.post-40928673913953327782011-07-20T08:35:38.851-07:002011-07-20T08:35:38.851-07:00Very nice post! I have to say I am also very excited about the future of Google+ as I find its features very interesting and of better quality than Facebook.
After playing with it for more than 2 weeks now, I did find a few downsides which, I think, will make things a bit complicated for normal users.
For example, the Circles feature does solve the privacy issues everyone was complaining about, but sometimes it could lead to not reaching the whole potential market for a post. This is because I might not know everything that everyone in my circles is in to, so when I post a link about social media, let's say, in my digital marketing circle I may lose other connections which could be interested in the article but they've been classified as close friends. Of course, this problem could be solved by adding a connection to more than 1 circle, but the process of classifying all the friends could be a bit overwhelming.
Also, Sparks is a very good idea, but it does need some improvement. I say that because for now, the updates on my interests are chaotic. For example, I am interested in movies, but I don't want to get all the news about all the movies there are, but if Google could come up with some filtering options, the feature could be very impressive.
On the other hand, the Hangout feature is incredible and it does work, which could be a real tie-breaker against Facebook(even with its new super awesome video-chat which is getting more negative than positive reviews).
I really do hope the 3rd time is a charm for Google, because they did put a lot of effort into it and it is, in fact, a better product than Facebook. And, I think, the timing is perfect, as more and more people are dissatisfied with Facebook and they are looking for alternatives.
However, even if people don't move to Google+ immediately, having this compeition means that we, the users, get better products :) so overall it's good!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1446373754980807789.post-55776740742238847922011-07-20T08:34:45.254-07:002011-07-20T08:34:45.254-07:00Very nice post!
